Collinge Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
On a bombé fronted base with two short and two long drawers of graduated depth. Exceptionally well figured honey coloured walnut veneers arranged in a symmetrical pattern across the front. Rococo style carvings to the centre of the cornice and doors, raised mouldings, concave and convex curved drawer fronts and large shaped feet with pierced brackets. With a fine period set of decorative gilded brass handles and escutcheon plates to the drawers. The sides of the piece are walnut veneered on oak groundwork. Solid oak backboards and drawer linings. Excellent condition and particularly good colour. Cupboard key supplied.
