Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 1890s.
These are a very well matched pair of hand made solid oak beds, they are in a traditional Gothic Oak Arts and Crafts style, the head boards have 3 fielded panels with a carved rail above and the foot board ends have two fielded panels.
The beds are good all-round condition, a few bumps as you might expect but nothing serious
The head boards are 45” high and the foot boards are 28” high, the beds are 36” wide and the overall length is 80”
As a double bed the bed will take a 72” wide and 77” long mattress, or as singles the mattress size is 36” x 77” long.
