George III Oval Wine Cooler or Jardiniere

Description

An attractive George III mahogany OVAL WINE COOLER or JARDINIERE in excellent original condition on its original stand.

The 'coopered' mahogany cooler is fitted with wide brass bands, with unusual high quality cast "Leopards Head" ring side handles. It retains its good original lead lining to the interior, whilst the oval stand with tapering and slightly splayed legs terminates in original cast brass castors. A fine example measuring: 25ins wide; 18ins deep; 22ins high. (63.5 x 45.5 x 56cms)
