A splendid 19th century Chinese porcelain blue and white ginger jar & cover decorated around the body with a continuous scene of a scholar and two students in a garden setting, with a band of clouds above and a decorated cover. This fine ginger jar has a 6-character mark on the underside and is in excellent condition with no damage or restoration; it stands 6 ¾ inches tall.
