Over a shaped door with raised mouldings repeated on the base, ogee mouldings at the waist and neat little bracket feet. White enamelled face with separate seconds dial and working date display. Topped with a painted tall ship flying the Union Jack, which rocks to and fro with each beat of the pendulum, flanked by a castle and another ship viewed through a rock arch (several of which can be found on the coast of South Wales). Further hand painted detail of pheasants and castles to the corners of the dial. Pierced and chased brass hands. Eight day works striking the hours on a bell, cleaned and overhauled and sold with a one year guarantee. Original weights and pendulum. Excellent colour and condition. Key supplied.
