An interesting 19th.century carved oak writing desk. The shaped and carved superstructure having a hinged fall with a well carved outdoor tavern scene with 3 men drinking beer and a dog. The writing slope opens to dark oak interior with 8 pigeon holes and a black and gilt tooled writing surface, below is a carved fronted drawer with brass handle.

The lower section having a decoratively carved top with a conforming drawer below and the whole raised on carved cabriole shaped legs. Condition - Very good, with original handles, writing surface and working V.R. stamped lock with key. Dimensions:- Max.Height…55’’/ 140cm. Max.Width…33.5’’/ 85cm. Depth…17’’/ 43cm.
