Stunning and unusual, heavy George II silver dish finely cast as a scallop shell. Hallmarked underside for London 1742, maker Peter Archambo I.

It measures 4 1/4 wide, 4 3/8" front to back and 1 1/8" high. It weighs a substantial 128g/4.1ozt. Condition is excellent with no damage or repairs. Light surface wear, good and appropriate for age and the hallmarks are perfectly clear.
