A well observed Japanese Meiji period bronze okimono of a recumbent bull lying on one side with head raised and tilted, the artist has captured the form of the creature beautifully including the wrinkles in the skin created by its pose. This beautiful bronze okimono is signed on the underside and is in excellent condition measuring 15 inches in length.
