A splendid Japanese Meiji period ivory okimono depicting a man carrying a basket of clams over his shoulder and an octopus in this right hand, also note the tiny crab clambering across the basket! Pegged to a rocky base which is signed on the underside this okimono is in excellent condition standing 4 ¼ inches tall.
