A charming Japanese Meiji period painted silk with exquisite detail depicting a Bijin hanging a lantern on the Genkan as night falls whilst two children investigate fish in a fish bowl, this beautiful painted silk is housed in its original gilt frame with a hardwood back bearing character marks, the silk is in excellent condition with the frame showing minor wear marks commensurate with age, the silk measures 14 inches by 9 ½ inches.
