A fine Indian tortoiseshell casket c.1900 of rectangular form decorated with applied ivory fret work and inlaid banding, stained with decoration. The box has a hinged lid with chamfered sides and a silver plate escutcheon with ivory lion paw feet and a velvet interior. This splendid box is in mint condition which is very rare to see and measures 9 ½ inches across.
