Camden Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
To one side there is a mirror backed recess sitting under a canopy. The shaped mirror is fitted with its original beveled plate and does have some minor spotting. Beneath is a cupboard door which opens to reveal a shelved interior. The door front is decorated with an inlaid and pen and ink work scene; the inlay is a range of woods, brass and pewter. The right hand side of the cabinet has a glazed door which opens to access a shelved interior. The glazed door is fitted with its original cushion glass panes. All doors are lockable with the key being supplied. The whole cabinet stands on stylised organic legs and has copper hardware throughout. This wonderful cabinet is packed full of design features redolent of the period and bears its original retailers label. It is offered for sale in excellent original condition, ready to go straight into the home.
