Edwardian Solid Silver Card Case 1902

This absolutely stunning SOLID SILVER CARD CASE is of oblong form with crimped and scrolled edges and a fabulously embossed intricate central design showing a man putting a harness on a shire horse.

The rear of the case is of plain undecorated form, the flip top fits and closes correctly and to the interior of this beautiful case retains the original gilt coating.

The Card Case has no added engravings, monograms or initials and comes complete with calling cards from two previous owners.

Made by William J. Holmes in 1902, this unusual and rare antique Card Case is in superb condition with very little sign of wear or use and is of a size that can still be used with today's business / credit cards etc.
