Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 19th Century.

The cabinet is made in Mahogany with a carved decoration to the front of the piece, it has a glazed front and 9 glazed drawers, which are numbered, these pull out from the side of the cabinet and have replacement brass knobs

The Mitchell company was the most important of its kind, first established in 1723 until 1901 when it was merged with W.D. & H.O.Wills and then on to become the Imperial Tobacco Company
This is well documented piece, with both carved and brass property owners labels on the back, it is in good condition for its age, a little chipping to one top corner and a glass missing from one of the drawers

The cabinet is 38” tall, 23” wide and 6.5” deep
