Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Pocket watch holders were designed during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries to display pocket watches on bedside tables, mantels, or desks, transforming personal timepieces into table clocks when not being worn.

Victorian pocket watch holders were commonly crafted from cast brass, bronze, carved wood, or ceramics, often featuring intricate figural motifs created using sand-casting or lost-wax casting techniques.

Authentic nineteenth-century examples display hand-finished chasing details, natural wear in high-relief areas, casting seams, and original threaded rod assembly underneath the base rather than modern machine screws.

Style the holder on an office desk, bedside table, or mantelpiece alongside period desk accessories, leather-bound books, or brass objects to create a curated decorative display.

Dust regularly with a soft microfibre cloth, avoid aggressive polish that strips natural patina, and apply a thin layer of microcrystalline wax to protect the metal from oxidisation.
