Puckerings has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
Made from English sterling silver, it stands on three pretty legs and is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1909, Edwardian in era; the makers initials are also present for the well renowned silversmith, Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings.

The top of the box is inset with a floral decoration made from Mother of Pearl or Nacre shell. The lid opens to reveal the totally original lined interior in blue silk and velvet.
Excellent condition, measuring 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 1 1/8" tall.
