Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1870s.
The outward scroll handle with a double ringed collar, above the circular shank, finished to the bottom with a ringed and spreading socle, above the bell shaped base, stepped and concaved in profile, with a rounded plinth. The rear with cast iron loading, and impressed numbering '4047' for William Tonks & Son.
Date c 1870.
Height 9 1/2 inches, width 5 inches, depth 2 1/2 inches.
