Elmgarden has dated this piece to the Before 1700 period.
.

The company did not produce a great amount of carved furniture and this seems to be a specially commissioned Marriage piece. The back of the dresser is carved with 2 family crests and a centre vase filled with the fruits of the field this is set of with double finely turned barley twist columns supporting a shelf on the top. The theme of fruitfulness is carried in the door panels, and the carved borders are carved in the Celtic style with a fierce Green Man mask to the centre between the drawers.

The Sideboard is in superb condition, the handles are all original, it has been cared for and valued all of its life, it is oak lined with a panelled back so as you can imagine it is very heavy and it has a wonderful patina

The Dresser is 45” wide, 18”deep and 53”high
