Dutch Empire Jardiniere on Dolphin Supports. Circa 1820

Description

Superb Dutch Empire early 19th. century jardiniere or planter with slatted sides supported by three carved painted and gilded dolphins onto a shaped triform base with carved paw feet. Still retains its original brass liner. All in fine original condition with just a couple of minor veneer repairs. Lovely colour with fine waxed patina. A rare type.

Size; 22" high, 12.5" diameter at top.
