Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Woodbridge Antiques

An exquisite and perfectly designed antique solid silver Vesta case, rectangular in shape and slightly concave in design with a wonderful engine turned pattern finish to both the front and back . There is an attractive empty circular cartouch in the very centre. Hinged on one side the lid opens and closes perfectly. There is a good attaching loop at one side. When opened clear hallmarks are visible on the inside lip of the Vesta for the Birmingham Assay Office, with a date mark for 1914 and the Lion Passant indicating sterling silver, along with the silversmith''s maker''s mark for John Rose.

This Vesta feels lovely to hold and is a nice neat size.
