Waltham P S Bartlett Half Hunter Pocket Watch 1910

An antique Waltham P S Bartlett half hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, P S Bartlett grade, which is working nicely. Patten Sargeant Bartlett was one of the early employees of the Boston Watch Company which went on to become the Waltham Watch Company. He subsequently left Waltham to work for the National Watch Company at Elgin Illinois but eventually returned to Waltham to work as a salesman before opening his own wholesale business. This particular movement is signed and the serial number 18075119 dates it back to 1910. The movement is lovely quality and has a Patent Regulator (Star Wheel) and Breguet hairspring. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made by the Dennison Watch Case Company, the company supplied cases to various watch manufacturers but had a close relationship with Waltham. The case has enamel filled Roman numerals to the front around a small lens. The case is in good condition.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside there is a glass lens which is in good condition.

The signed white enamel dial is in good condition with blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
