Description

A gents 1950s Glashütte automatic wrist watch.

The watch has a 23-jewel automatic movement which is working nicely. The rotor is signed Automat GUB (which stands for Glashütte Uhrenbetriebe).

The watch measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated and has a stainless steel case back. The case is in good condition just a slither of wear on the side opposite the winding crown but nothing serious at all.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed with the GUB, Glashütte SA, Automat, 23 Rubis, Stossgesichert (which translates as shockproof). There is some light marking and a little darkening. Centre seconds hand, outer minute markers and date (not quickset).

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
