Set Georgian Steel Fire Irons

Description

A set of three late Georgian - early Victorian polished steel fire irons.

They have a combined weight of nearly 4kgs, and are in good condition. The shovel isn't black in places, nor do the other items have black areas as seems to be the case in the photographs, this is a reaction to the camera flash. The shovel is 82cm in length and 13.5cm wide at the very edge of the shovel; the tongs are 79cm long and the poker is 79cm.

The steel on all of them is pitted, but the weight and shape show the quality.

Postage and packing within the UK mainland is included in the price, but for remote parts of the UK and abroad, please contact us for a quote for delivery.

Alternatively, the irons can be viewed by appointment with us in Surrey as we no longer sell through a retail outlet.
