Windsor Farmhouse High-back Elbow Chair

An attractive Windsor elbow chair. Circa 1910, this is a wonderful piece with a nice shape.
 
Constructed with a combination of elm, ash, oak and; it has a decorative and unusual carved central splat, the carving is nicely detailed.
 
With an attractive crinoline stretcher and a warm patina this is a firm and sturdy chair that is comfortable to sit in. The arms have a nice and natural wear from the years of use.
 
Almost certainly from the High Wycombe area, this has a makers stamp on the underside of the seat.
