A larger 10'' dial mahogany mercury wheel barometer with swan neck pediment and original brass finial. Choice grain to the case with hygrometer, thermometer, convex mirror, main dial & level. Well engraved silvered dials. The level signed ''P Maspoli, Canterbury''.
P Maspoli of Canterbury is recorded in Banfileds'' ''Barometer Makers and Retailers'' book as working from 1820 - 1850. This example dates to circa 1835.
