Art Nouveau Waltham Full Hunter Pocket Watch

A beautiful Art Nouveau Waltham full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, Traveler grade, which is working nicely. The movement is signed and the serial number 26,428,423 dates it back to 1928. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover (there are some scratches and small “dings” on this inner cover). There are signs that the movement and case are not original to each other and the movement date is a little late for Art Nouveau.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and it is exquisitely detailed on both the front and the back with Art Nouveau patterns. There is a little unevenness to the case back but nothing too serious at all.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.

Inside there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition. When the original glasses lenses broke, they were often replaced with acrylic as it is a much more durable material.

The signed white enamel dial is in good condition, just a little marking but nothing too serious at all. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
