An antique silver Waltham Traveler pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, Traveler grade, which is working nicely. The movement is signed and the serial number 17,223,542 dates it back to 1908. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover... there are a couple of indentations to this inner cover.

The watch itself measures 48.5mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for Birmingham 1929. This discrepancy in dates confirms our suspicions that the movement and the case are not original to each other. However the majority of Waltham watches were housed in Dennison cases such as this one. The case is in good condition, just a very slight unevenness to the back. The engine turned detail is still nice and crisp.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in very nice condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
