Antique Bracket Clock

Description

An English Victorian oak cased bracket clock. A Gothic design with well detailed carved sprires and columns. Arched moulded design to the base. A cast brass bezel and silvered engraved dial signed 'Penlington, Liverpool'. Arched glass side apertures and rear door. A twin fusee movement striking the hours on a gong.

Penlington of Liverpool is recorded in Loomes' 'Watchmakers and Clockmakers of The World' book as working in 1851.

Width 12 " / 31 cms Depth 7 1/2 " / 19 cms.
