The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement, with 15-jewels, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Rotary wings logo.

The watch itself measures 31mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London 1956 together with a maker's mark of SD for Sylvain Dreyfus.

Rotary Watches Ltd was established at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, by Moise Dreyfuss in 1895. By the 1920s family members Georges and Sylvain Dreyfuss began importing Rotary watches into Britain, which was to become the company's most successful market.

The case is in good condition with just light surface marks to the back, not too serious at all.
The signed dial has a mark between 4 and 5 but otherwise looks good, with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
