The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement, with 15 jewels, which is working well. The movement is signed Record, Swiss made and it has the calibre number 112.

The watch measures 22mm wide excluding the winding crown and 35mm high including the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for London 1949. The case is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.

The lens has some short scratches but is acceptable.
The dial has light surface marking although it is in nice condition for a 1940s piece.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
A new black leather strap has been fitted.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
