A 1940s Gents 9 Carat Gold Record Wrist Watch.

Description

A 1940s gents 9 carat gold Record wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement, with 15 jewels, which is working well. The movement is signed Record, Swiss made and it has the calibre number 112.

The watch measures 22mm wide excluding the winding crown and 35mm high including the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the hinged case back for London 1949. The case is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.

The lens has some short scratches but is acceptable.

The dial is signed Record it has some Art Deco influence with the square subsidiary seconds dial and a square outer minute track. The dial has light surface marking although it is in nice condition for a 1940s piece.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

Price includes worldwide postage.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
