~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A beautiful original antique French clock by the famous maker Japy Freres. It is modelled in the Rococo style in gilt bronze, elegant asymmetric waisted shape with scrolls, a shell motif and a finely fretted front to allow a glimpse of the pendulum gently swinging within.

The dial is porcelain enamel on copper, delicately decorated with bows and swags. It is signed for the retailer. It is complete with original finely cut blued steel hands and convex glass.

The French movement is by Japy Freres and is of the company's usual high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration and there are no losses. The dial is also in excellent condition just some rubbing to the retailer's name.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
