Description

A quality French white marble mantel clock. The original gilding to the finely cast bronze ormolu birds and floral chasing. A white marble case on adjustable feet. The original base with gilded front and detailed parquetry inlays to the floor. An 8-day duration movement with dead beat escapement by Japay striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Circa 1860.

Height 22" / 50 cms Width 19 " / 48 cms Depth 7 " / 18 cms (all including base size)
