As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this super quality Ivory & Shibayama Insect encrusted card case from the Meiji period circa 1900 , the finely patinated ivory sides are mounted with chased Silver hinges and closing clasp , the exterior finely decorated with a multitude of insects formed from semi precious stones and shells as well as the artists carving of the Ivory , the interior of this case still houses its original blue silk card holders , a lovely original and genuine Meiji period card case for your Japanese art or indeed card case collection.
 
Condition report : Lovely condition with minimal age related wear to the silk lining and hinges , closes tightly .
