The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed American Waltham U.S.A. Traveler and the serial number of 23400775 which dates it back to 1919. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch itself measures 51 mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 14ct gold filled and was made by the Illinois Watch Case Company.

Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition. The original glass lenses were often replaced with acrylic as it is much more durable and looks just like glass.
The white enamel dial is signed Waltham, U.S.A and has a faint hairline crack at 7 oclock and a small nibble to the centre hole although hardly noticeable but overall it is in nice condition for a 1919 piece.
The watch has its original blued steel hands.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
