Camden Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.
With reeded columns and standing on magnificent "hairy paw" lions feet cast in solid brass. The secretaire is fitted with original lions mask ring pull handles. It opens to reveal a fully fitted interior with internal drawers in sycamore and further stationary compartments and a green baise writing surface. The secretaire sits above a pair of paneled cupboard doors which open (lockable, key supplied) to reveal a shelved interior. This piece of furniture is of the highest quality, and is offered for sale in excellent condition with a wonderful colour and patina.
