A fine quality Japanese Meiji period bronze charger with lobed gilt rim decorated I mixed metals with onlay and chisel work depicting 3 quails foraging under flowering reeds with birds in flight overhead. This splendid charger is beautifully detailed and is signed on the reverse, it is in excellent condition with no damage and measures 12 inches in diameter.
