A fine quality 19th century Chinese carved ivory world in a clam, depicting a half-opened clam shell inside of which is a hive of activity in miniature with men fishing by the bank with trees either side and a temple & hut in the background. This beautiful carving is signed on the underside and is in very good overall condition; it measures 3 ½ inches in length.
