A splendid Japanese Meiji period carved Ivory okimono depicting a fisherman by the water’s edge pulling a net in from the water, his coolie hat hanging off his shoulders he holds a fish in his free hand. This beautifully detailed okimono is signed on the underside and apart from one small, stable split by the left sleeve it is in excellent condition standing 6 ½ inches tall.
