A fine & unusual Japanese Meiji period bronze censor standing on three feet it has a stippled finish to imitate iron with a Greek key & chevron chiselled border below the rim. This charming Japanese censor is finished with onlaid mixed-metal sea creatures including an octopus, a lobster and three species of fish, it is in excellent condition and measures 5 inches in diameter.
