Description

Late 19th.c. military officer’s campaign chest c.1880. In solid camphorwood, a fragrant and pest resistant timber which helped protect contents during passage, further strengthened with brass corners and bindings. With a flush fitting handle to the lid and heavy duty carry handles to each side. Great colour and character with traces of old newspaper photographs inside the lid. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.
