Description

Useful mid 19th.c. mahogany chiffonier side cabinet c.1860. With two drawers and two cupboards below, the left hand one is fitted with a deep drawer for bottles. With particularly well figured flame mahogany veneers to the front. Shaped drawer fronts, arched door panels with raised mouldings and crisp applied acanthus leaf carvings. Remove the bottle drawer to reveal a secret compartment hidden in the side (for the really good stuff perhaps!). Solid mahogany sides and drawer linings. With a couple of small repairs to the veneers, otherwise excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
