Edwardian Silver Single Stamp Box by Edward Souter Barnsley, Birmingham 1908

1900 - 1920
Description

This pretty single stamp box has a lovely semi-circular form. The glazed lid encasing an original stamp. The fully sprung cover is lined internally with black leather. It is raised on four ball feet and has a gilt interior.

Hallmarks:

E.S.B for Edward Souter Barnsley.

Birmingham Assay Mark.

Date letter "i" for 1908.

Lion Passant.

Dimensions:

3cm x 3cm x 1.5 / 1.2 inches x 0.6 inches

Condition:

Excellent.

Strong hinge and good spring mechanism.
