A Rare Georgian Silver Sugar Crusher

Description

This rare piece is a Georgian silver sugar crusher. Sugar crushers were used to crush and dissolve lumps of sugar into warm drinks and liquids. This example has a loop handle with plain stem. The base is flat and the underside is cut with small teeth, to aid with holding the sugar in place whilst being crushed in the glass. A lovely piece of Georgian silver and a collectable item. Dimensions below.
