Description

Georgian oak three drawer open Welsh dresser base c.1790. Two plank top with carved detail to the edge over three large drawers with cockbeaded fronts, large turned wooden knobs and original brass escutcheon plates. Uncluttered design with a straight apron featuring a simple shaped detail at the centre repeated in the brackets on the sides. Raised on slim tapering square stiles. Lovely early timbers of particularly good colour and grain. Oak panelled sides, single piece elm back board (note the dovetailing into the stiles). Excellent condition, with some old marks and repairs to the top. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
