~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A stunning original antique French cartel wall clock by the famous maker Japy Freres.
The front is fretted to allow the pendulum to be seen gently swinging within. A large and stunning clock, beautifully prepared in our workshop, ready for you to display.

The large dial is enamel on copper, lettered in blue with separate minute and hour rings.
The French movement is by Japy Freres and is of high quality and the Japy Freres mark is on the movement backplate. It is the more unusual Japy Freres design with pin-pallet escapement, rack strike and large detachable barrels within a split, shaped backplate. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell.

Condition of the case is excellent beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration and there are no losses. The dial is also in good condition, a slight chip near the '30' that is barely visible with the bezel closed. The edge of the brass dial plate has been repaired / altered at some time but this is hardly noticeable. This is a stunning wall clock to grace your home!
