A Stunning Edwardian Silver Inkwell & Inkstand

1900 - 1920
Description

A stunning hallmarked silver inkwell and stand by the renowned Goldsmiths and Silversmiths. This eye catching piece has a boat shape stand with four claw and ball feet and the retailers mark to the underside. To the sides is geometric rectangular piercing and the handles have delightful pierced scrollwork. To the centre is a removable cut glass inkwell surrounded by silver framework. Gadroon detail is found to the rim of all three pieces. The inkwell features strawberry diamond cutting along with notch cutting and bands to the shoulders. It is finished with a hallmarked round hinged lid. A fabulous piece and a great addition to any desk. Dimensions below.

Postage and Packing :- £14.00 UK

£24.00 Worldwide.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents or splits to the silver and no chips or cracks to the glass. The central inkwell framework is removable which aids cleaning. Archival Detail
Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.
