Large Antique English Sterling Silver Photograph Frame - Ribbon and Bow

Description

A stunning large late Edwardian photograph frame made from English sterling silver. The oval frame is finished with an egg and dart border outlining the elegant oval shape.

The top is crowned with a stunning ribbon and bow decoration, always very popular. The backing including the folding easel stand are made from solid English Oak. The side of the silver is where the full English hallmark can be found for the highly collectable Chester assay office and the year 1910, The makers mark is also present for the silversmiths, Stokes and Ireland.

A good size with an overall measurement of 10 1/4" tall x 7" wide; with a glazed aperture measuring 8" x 5 3/4".
