with choice burr walnut veneers. Detailed carving to the pediment and base with scrolled sides. A thermometer with silvered scale and main dial signed 'Elliot & Sons, London'. Small 6" dial barometers are hard to find. Circa 1870.
Elliot Brothers worked in London from 1853. They grew into a large company and in the 20th century became part of the GEC group.
