Description

A Scottish Georgian oak longcase clock with a swan neck hood pediment. Brass capped hood columns. A well proportioned slim case standing on bun feet. A well decorated arched dial with gilt fan corners and a basket of flowers. Date and seconds dials. An 8-day duration movement striking the hours on a bell.

Patrick Young of Forfar is recorded in Whytes' 'Scottish Clock and Watchmakers' book as working until 1811.
