Fine Inlaid Display Cabinet

1900 - 1920
Description

A fine quality Sheraton revival mahogany and inlaid display cabinet. Of breakfront form with a moulded and satinwood inlaid dentil cornice. The frieze having satinwood banding between boxwood and ebony lines. The stiles with boxwood outline stringing and the front and sides with astragal glazing bars. The lower panels with superb figured mahogany, the centre opening doors having satinwood and boxwood inlaid Sheraton ovals with harebell swags and ribbons. The base with a satinwood banded inlaid frieze and the whole raised on square tapering legs with spade feet and boxwood stinging and joined by an under tier.

In original very good condition, with working lock & key, fully cleaned and waxed and retaining the original green fabric lined interior. Circa 1900.
